Clubhouse Design Ideas: One Space for Every Age Group

Cafe with a tropical leaf mural and green shell chairs

The best clubhouses feel like several places in one, with something for every member of the family.

Give every activity its own mood

A gym needs energy. A yoga room needs quiet. A play area needs fun. Designing each room for its purpose is what makes a clubhouse feel generous.

The kids' play area

Soft floors, rounded furniture, cheerful colour and plenty of daylight. Safety and easy cleaning come first.

The cards and games room

A slightly nostalgic mood suits it well. In our Kanpur clubhouse, clusters of bulb pendants hang over the tables and give the room a relaxed, retro character.

The yoga studio

Calm colours, natural materials and soft light. We used arched mirrors and a warm timber floor to keep the room serene.

The gym

Daylight, views and durable flooring. Floor-to-ceiling windows make a workout feel open instead of boxed in.

The cafe and lounge

This is where neighbours meet. Comfortable chairs, a wall with personality and good coffee do most of the work.

Tie it together

Shared materials, a consistent lighting language and clear corridors make different rooms read as one clubhouse.

Common questions

How do you keep a clubhouse from looking dated?

Use a timeless base of natural materials and neutral colours, and bring character through elements that are easy to refresh, such as lighting, wall finishes and furniture.

What is most often forgotten in clubhouse design?

Acoustics and storage. Noisy rooms next to quiet ones, and nowhere to keep equipment, are the usual complaints.
